LIBERIA: Lofa Health Team Alerted By 2 New ‘Ebola Cases’ In Guinea

The Lofa County Health Team has reported that two new suspected cases of the Ebola virus have been reported in neighboring Guinea.

The Community Health Department Director Edmond Essah made the disclosure at the regular Ebola briefing on Tuesday, May 27, at the office of the County Health Team in Voinjama City, Lofa County.

He said there has been no new case of Ebola reported in Lofa County and Liberia as a whole in recent times.

Mr. Essah noted that the County Health Team and partners will continue the Ebola awareness and preventive measures.

During the meeting, it was agreed that partners and the County Health Team should seek donor support to continue the awareness and provide preventive equipment for medical staff.
