WRITTEN BY THE LIBERIA NEWS AGENCY – The Chairperson of the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) has promised to discharge his duties without fear or favor.
Cllr. James Verdier said the work of the commission, which includes ensuring that public funds are used for the good of the country, is challenging.
Cllr. Verdier made the assertion Wednesday in an interview with the Liberia News Agency at his UN Drive office.
He hoped that public officials would work along with LACC, so that together they can achieve the government’s deliverables, stressing that this would also help to promote mutual cooperation among public offices.
Cllr. Verdier, who was recently appointed by President Ellen Johnson- Sirleaf following his confirmation by the Liberian Senate, replaces Cllr. Johnson- Allison.
