LIBERIA: Power Greed hits CDC, As Officials Anxiously Rush For Senatorial Bid

What is now becoming to be a public pronouncement amongst members and executives of Liberia’s biggest political party, the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) that many of its executives have all vowed to contest the upcoming 2014 midterm Senatorial elections and  have reportedly forsaken their political party and partisans in their to seek legislative position..

Some of partisans of the CDC who spoke to our reporter expressed frustration over this latest development on the part of executives of the party to abandon them in their quest to seek legislative seats in the Liberian Senate.

The party’s political leader,   George M. Weah has thrown his might into the race to contest for the Senate for Montserrado County, the party’s Chairman and Secretary General; George Solo and Nathaniel McGill have all expressed the intent to contest for the Senate from their various Counties.

CDC National Chairman, George Solo is contest the senatorial seat from his home County, Grand Gedeh County, while Mr. Nathaniel McGill has also vowed to contest the Gbarpolu County Senatorial seat.
