Madam Matilda Wokie Parker is our Woman of the Year – Her selection by the GNNLIBERIA Editorial Team for the Hall of Fame as Managing Director 2013 adds more lubricant to her elbow, but at the same time challenges her in vigorously performing her statutory tasks as head of the country’s economic gate way.
Her proficient leadership at the National Port Authority, has won her many praises with workers , staffs and even contractors lauding her for the immense improvements at the NPA. This has given rise to the growth and development and respected worldwide.
She’s a product of renowned and acclaimed institutions of learning including the University of Texas at Dallas – Executive School of Management, Strayer University – Science College, built on her early foundation of University of Liberia and the Ricks Institute Junior College.
She is respected and admired internationally due to her high achievements over the years, especially with 20 years of performance-based progression to Senior Technical Director. Hands-on experience in Information Technology, Program/Project Management, Telecommunications, International Relations, Finance and General Management. Some of her proven areas of expertise are:

Ms. Parker stood tall at the just ended 3rd Afro-Arab summit held in Kuwait. She ably represented not only the NPA, but the country and won her not only the respect but major funding from the Kuwaiti fund.
Madam Parker’s leadership ability won her countless of Honors and Awards, including the Cambridge Who's Who of Executives & Professionals in May 2007, the AT & T Lightspeed Award in November 2005, SBC Above & Beyond Award in June 2004, SBC Leadership Award in April 2003,
