President Sirleaf Congratulates Libya On National Day


The President of the Republic of Liberia , Her Excellency Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has expressed the conviction that the bond of friendship and brotherly relations, so happily subsisting between Liberia and the Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya will continue to be cemented in the years ahead.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Johnson Sirleaf made the statement in her Congratulatory Message to the President, Government and People of the Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya on the jubilant occasion marking the 41st Anniversary of that great country.

The Governments of the Republic of Liberia and the Federal Republic of Germany on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 signed a Comprehensive Financial Cooperation Agreement. The signing Ceremony took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the Capitol Hill.

Suspicious Luggage On Board United Airlines Flight, Prompts Dutch To Investigate Three Inviduals

Two men on a United Airlines flight from Chicago to Amsterdam were questioned by Dutch authorities after U.S. officials found a cell phone taped to a Pepto Bismol bottle and a knife and box cutter in checked luggage connected with the men, a law enforcement official said.
