LIBERIA: Grand Kru CDC Chairman Craves For Senator Coleman Re-election

CDC Grand Kru Chapter Chairman, Togba Tuwray

The Chairman of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Grand Kru chapter has hassled the need for populace in Grand Kru County to strongly support the George Weah’s led government by re-electing incumbent Senator Peter Coleman who was overwhelmingly voted for in 2011 on the ticket of the Congress for Democratic Change.

Speaking in an interview with the GNN in the County, the local Chairman of the CDC Chapter Togba Tuwray said, if citizens must unanimously agree to support the CDC’s government transformational agenda, they must take into consideration the party’s candidate in the county for the pending midterm senatorial election scheduled for December 8, 2020 to satisfied the President Weah quest for Senator Coleman.

Togba Tuwray pointed out that president Weah government is adequately concentrating to develop southeastern Liberia, and as such, the candidate on his party ticket must be given the opportunity to support the government’s pro-poor agenda.

Meanwhile, Mr. Tuwray is calling on the people of the Grand Kru County to re elect Senator Peter Coleman for the best interest of the party as it is a direct mandate from the Liberian leader.

At the same time Chairman Tuwray has categorically refuted the allegation leveled against him by senatorial aspirant Alfred T. Segbe, that the CDC chairmen including others were involved in his detention at the Robert international airport.

He said, Dr. Segbe allegation is false and has no aorta of true, simply because he Segbe don’t have any political relevant or tangible development initiatives in the county.

The CDC chairman who was suspended by the Press Union of Liberia for his involvement into politics however, described Dr. Segbe as a criminal adding that Dr. Segbe received his certificate from the National Elections Commission, while he was out of the Nation Capital.

The Grand Kru CDC chairman spoke recently with team of reporters when they paid a journalistic visit to his honorable office in Grand Kru County.
