LIBERIA: Grand Kru Development Superintendent Preaches Peace Ahead Midterm Elections

Amid reported electoral fraud and voters trucking around the country ahead of the midterm senatorial elections, the Grand Kru County Assistant Superintendent for Development is publicly encouraging Liberian youths to denounce electoral violence and embrace peace, for the forward march of the country.

Joe Sekpeh noted that peace is critical to the growth and development of the country, stressing that in the absence of peace the country will go back to those dark days, which he said is not good for the country and its people.

He indicated that with fifteen years of peace maintained, the citizens of the Country [Liberia] should not relapse to violence, especially the young people.

The Grand Kru County Assistant Superintend for development is admonishing Liberians to use dialogue in solving problems will radiate from electoral procedure comes December 8, 2020 Senatorial elections.

Mr. Sekpeh called on the youths in Grand Kru to be slot in positive things that are gear toward buttressing government initiatives at the community levels, adding that young people should not allow themselves to be use by politicians to bring about election violence in the country.

Joe Sekpeh has disclosed tangibles plan underway by the central government to construct a modern youth center in Grand Kru County that is projected at over $USD75, 000.00 to dignify young people in the county.

The Grand Kru Assistant development superintendent boosted of the milestone achievement of the CDC government within the county, that includes infrastructure development, youth empowerment, the fight against Coronavirus, construction and rehabilitation of roads.

He praised the working relationship exciting amongst citizens and development partners in Grand Kru County.

The Grand Kru Assistant development superintendent made the statement Wednesday September 23, 2020, in an interview with Radio Ahteenah reporters on a local radio talk show.
