Opposition NDC Condemns Attacks on  Yekeh Kolubah, Alex Cummings

The National Democratic Coalition (NDC) condemns in the strongest terms the government sponsored and instigated attack on Hon. Alexander Cummings, head of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) and Hon. Yekeh Kolubah, Montserrado County District 10 Representative in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County. This unprovoked attack signals the trend that government will follow throughout the 2020 legislative and 2023 general and presidential elections. We call for an immediate probe into the circumstances and those responsible must be brought to justice.

This harsh reality underlines the need for broad based cooperation (in the opposition community) that will obstruct the violent interruption that government has introduced in electoral democracy.

We therefore call for a national symposium on the protection of the integrity of the ballot to be followed by a big warning demonstration that will assure the George Weah government of its early demise if the trend continues. In this regard, we call for the organization of the National Democratic Front by all opposition political parties and national structures. The NDC is already forming the Gbarpolu Democratic Front. All other counties are urged to build similar movements that will empty into the National Democratic Front.
