‘Misinformation Can Hinder Our Efforts In Making Progress’ – UN Secretary General

Amid worldwide criticisms around the world about the reported ineffectiveness of the work of the United Nations to addressing the immediate plights of the people of the world, the United Nations Secretary General, António Guterres has blamed it on what he called ‘Misinformation.’

The UN Secretary General made the disclosure in his tweet to the world over the weekend; he said ‘Misinformation can hinder our efforts to make progress on the issues that affect us all. We all have a part to play in stopping its spread,” he noted.

He said, “Misinformation is dangerous, take care before you share,” Gterres warned.

The tweet by the UN Secretary General received several responses including, Mirza sohail @engineersohaily, who said  ‘It is a serious problem which is a cause to increase the volume of COVID 19 damages also. It is our responsibility that before share any information verify that information,” BE RESPONSIBLE DEFEAT COVID 19.
