“This is a huge shift. It is a transformation that will challenge us all (students and faculty alike); but, deep integration of technology in learning is the future of higher education. When The Visitor announced the digitization of the systems at the University of Liberia two years ago, that set in motion a process which was ultimately leading us to the actualization of eLearning. This pandemic has only hastened the process,” the University release said.

The release added that if eLearning is the future, then administrators, faculty, staff and students should embrace themselves and align with digital advancement.

Accordingly, since May, the University of Liberia began sailing on the path to channel all resources using the non-traditional way to honoring educational commitments and upholding public health guidelines.

The released emphasize that based on the unpredictable timeline marking the end of the COVID-19 it is important for the UL to adapt new frontier.

As an institution established to providing academic freedom and create thinking, the University said it is committed to unleashing the full potential of every Liberian through quality tertiary education.
