Muhammed Kuyateh finally laid to Rest

It was a  sadden and tearful moment on Saturday, June 27, when friends and families gathered in a huge number to pay their last respect to Mohammed Carlos who was laid to rest after brutally been murdered by some men in the City of  Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.

Mohammed Carlos Kuyateh was a footballer who was murdered in Buchanan after he was accused of allegedly entering the home of Regina Fayiah who allegedly claimed that Kuyateh had gone there on criminal mission.

Hundreds of students and footballers where seen in tears as they peacefully escorted their colleague to the Sugarcane Farm Cemetery in Buchanan where he (Carlos Kuyateh) was buried.

The youths where seen chanting slogans saying  “God will bring your killers to the public and they will be made shame “, while others sang funeral songs. Kuyateh, 24 according to family sources left a nearby prayer center where he had been for more than a week undergoing prayer due to some health problems.

Since the death of the late Carlos Kuyateh, 4 persons have been arrested in connection with his death and they are currently undergoing investigation at the Headquarters of the Liberia National Police in Buchanan.

Regina Fayiah, 20, Jacob Sweegay and two others who have not been named where picked up from the community after police got the intelligence that they were allegedly linked to the killing of the late Carlos Kuyateh.

James Kartor , Commander for Crime Services Division  told reporters recently  that the alleged suspects were charged for man slaughter, a charge that families of the victim is yet to agree with.

Sadu Kuyateh , Brother of the victim during the burial mentioned that they as family will never agree with the police , adding that their brother was murdered .

“We have come to lay our brother to rest but we will ensure that justice prevail in this case,” a member of the family told the GNN during the burial ceremony.
