In Buchanan:  Police Arrest 4 Persons In Connection Of  Muhammed Carlos Kuyateh’s Murder

Police in the Port City of Buchanan, Grand Bassa County have arrested four persons for their alleged involvement of the murder of a 24-year-old Muhammed Carlos Kuyateh early this week in the fairgrounds Community.

According tom our Correspondents, those arrested by the Liberia National Police in the County includes Regina Fayiah, 20 , Jocab Sweegay , Community leader and two others whose names has not been established.

The four alleged murderers are residents of the community in which the remains of the late Kuyateh was discovered.

James Kartor, head of the Crimes Services Division of the LNP told reporters that the act allegedly committed by these the individuals draw down to criminality, he further asserted. “We gathered information that the victim was suffering from some little problem in the head due to malaria. He mistakenly slipped out of the hands of those that were catering to him and came out but ran into the room of Regina Fayiah were he was caught and murdered,” he said.

Kartor mentioned that the victim was seeing as a criminal, adding that it was lawless on the part of those that took away his life, “Even if Muhammed Carlos Kuyateh was a criminal , no one had the right under our law to take away his life”, he stressed.

The CSD County Commander stressed that the matter will be properly investigated and the law will takes it course. For his part, the brother of the Kuyateh, Sadu Kuyateh, said his brother had early suffered from chronic malaria. Explaining to our reporter, he narrated that his brother had been ill for some time, he said this situation made the family to take him a local church for prayer.

“We want to say it clearly here that we as family will not take the corpse of Muhammed until justice prevails,” the brother of  victim speaking to reporters said.

The corpse of the late Muhammed Carlos Kuyateh was deposited at the Evening Rest Funeral Home in Buchanan as investigation is ongoing .
