As Liberia’s 2023 general and presidential elections draw closer, Liberians are doing all to form party of the political wagon by creating awareness for the political bid, one of such is one of the prominent sons of Wee Statutory District , Alfred Flomo who have vowed to contest against Representative Vicent Willie during these elections in 2023.

Speaking in an interview with our Grand Bassa County Correspondent recently, one of the contenders for the 2023, Alfred Flomo noted that the lack of developmental leadership for the district is a major issue that he hope to address when elected as a direct representative of the people, adding, “This coming 2023, I will be a Representative candidate for Electoral District #4 because many of the leaders of the district don’t want to work in the interest of the people ,”  Flomo bragged.

He furthered ” I want to go at the legislature to know why the road from Buchanan to Compound #3 can’t be pave, I want to know why the damaged bridges in the district can’t be rebuild and find solutions for them”.

Flomo asserted that the district lacks development because many of those who are in power wants to enrich themselves.

“Many of our leaders get in power before turning rich because they don’t declare their assets to the people before contesting “.

Flomo stressed ” I will not be a broke lawmaker if elected because I have a very big farm that contains over 30 workers “.

He mentioned that his farm can cater to his needs and some of the needs of the common people; adding that he only wants to make some difference in the district, ” We have over 70 projects that we did from our own pockets and not government money  and so if we are elected we will still have strength to do more projects “.

Flomo is a member of the Alternative National Congress (ANC )  who resides in the district.

In 2010 , the Name ‘Alfred Flomo’ became very popular in the district with the expectation of the people that he was going to contest during the 2011 elections.

Flomo’s made the pronouncement a week after Representative Vicent Willie expressed his intend to contest the 2020 Senatorial Election in the County
