LIBERIA: ‘Expelled MOVEE’s Secretary General’ Threatens Lawsuit Against Party Executives For Illegal Expulsion

Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE) Expelled Secretary General, Robert Simmie

Days after his expulsion by his party’s executives, Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE) Secretary General, Robert Sammie has vowed to challenge the party officials for his expulsion at any competent court of jurisdiction.

Addressing journalists in Monrovia today, Mr. Sammie said recent decision by some members of the party to form of the Rainbow collaborating political parties was in not in the interest of the majority of the executive members of MOVEE.

Prior to his statement of denouncing the collaboration with the Rainbow group of political parties,  some executives of the party form part of the Rainbow collaboration, and further noted that the decision was agreed upon by the executive committee of the party.

The acting Chairman of MOVEE, Dan Sayee reacting to Sammie’s insinuation that the decision by the acting Chairman did not meet the approval of the full members, accused him of being expelled for allegedly stealing properties of the party including vehicle and computers.

But Sammie reacting to Dan Sayee vowed to filed a lawsuit against the leadership of the party for his alleged expulsion
