What seems to be a serious concern regarding a reported communication allegedly written by the political leader of the opposition Alternative National Congress (ANC), and a member of the collaborating political parties (CPP), Mr. Alexander B. Cummings to President George Manneh Weah requesting to join the Liberian leader in the fight of the deadly COVID-19 has been discovered.

The letter dated on the 7th of April, 2020 under the signature of Mr. Cummings craved the Liberian leader support to join him in the fight against the deadly Coronavirus which has seriously devastated the world including Liberia with the loss of millions of lives, adding, “I am reaching out to you, since you have the mandate of our people to unite the country and bring us together, especially during these difficult times,” Mr. Cummings in his communication to the Liberian leader said.

Adding further in his communication, the ANC political leader also said, “We owe it to our people to put our political differences aside and work to defeat this virus.
