The leadership of the National Publishers Network of Liberia (NAPNEL)was today, November 8, 2019 inducted into office by the President of the Liberia National Bar Association (LNBA), Cllr. Tiawan S. Gongloe calling on the NAPNEL’s membership to be more proactive in performing their reportorial duties without biases.
The Liberian learned legal mines, who served in dual capacities as Guest Speaker and Installing Officer also urged members of the organization to serve as eyes of the people by professionally reporting those issues that need to be reported, noting, “Your credible reports will make people to applaud you in doing your job as journalists,” Cllr. Gongloe to the gathering of journalists at the program.
For his part, the newly inducted President of NAPNEL, Alfred Togbah, promised to prevail on his fellow colleagues to be objective in their reportage, and further vowed that under his leadership, members of the organization will not be what he called, “Belly driven”, noting that members of his organization will abide by the ethic of professionalism, and will not be moved by any financial gains.
Those inducted into office today include Alfred Togbah President, Moses T. Togba ; Vice Predident, Ahmed Sheriff Secretary General and Lulu Yie Rogers Financial Secretary.
NAPNEL is composed of eighteen publishers of several dailies and weeklies including online news outlets aimed at fostering a committed relationship between members of the organization; it was established early this year with the sole purpose of providing professional media services to the Liberian people and the rest of the world.
