Grand Gedeh County District # 2 Representative Zoe Emmanuel Pennue has seriously warned Senator Prince Y. Johnson to publicly stop provoking the people of Grand Gedeh County by bragging how he killed President Samuel K. Doe a son of the County, or else he will have the people of the County to content with, noting “Enough is enough.”
Addressing a news conference today, September 24, 2019, at his Capitol Building office, Representative Pennue who is believed to be a nephew of the late Liberian leader, said recent comment made by Senator Johnson justifying that the killing of President Doe was in defense of his people of Nimbia County has the propensity to create confusion between the two counties Grand Gedeh and Nimba Counties).
Representative Pennue said the people of his county are still hurt for the brutal death of their kinsman in the hands of Prince Johnson who are the time led a notorious rebel faction, the Independent National Patriotic Front of Liberia (INPFL) that killed hundreds of innocent people during the 1990 senseless Liberian civil war.
Recently, the Nimba County former rebel General now a lawmaker and an evangelist, addressing himself for the establishment of a war crimes court in Liberia, and the subsequent signing of a resolution by 29 lawmakers for the establishment of a ‘War crimes court’ in Liberia justified his actions doing the civil war, adding that he acted in defense of his people of Nimbia County by brutally killing President Samuel Doe.
Speaking further at the news conference, Representative Pennue disclosed he and other lawmakers signed a resolution calling for the establishment of a ‘war crimes court’ in Liberia, noting that it is important for forward march of Liberia that all accused war crimes and other war related crimes be brought for it in order to exonerate themselves before the court instead of abusing others.
