The House of Representatives says it has instituted a full-scale investigation into the ‘unsanctioned use of the Rotunda by some staffers of the House of Representatives, vowing punitive actions on Violators.

“An Investigation will be launched in the coming days to establish the facts surrounding the unsanctioned usage of the Legislature’s premises for the Petitioning of one of the Senatorial aspirants in the July 8 By Election For Montserrado County. ” a portion of the House Press & Public Affairs Department release noted.

It may be recalled, last week, some staffers of both houses (Senate & House of Representatives), held an honoring program for Montserrado County Senatorial aspirant Abraham Darius Dillion, at the Rotunda of the Capitol building vowing to campaign for the candidacy of Dillion , who they said was an outstanding staff of the Legislature whom they hold all the confidence to be elected as Senator in the ensuing July 8, 2019, Senatorial by-elections.

The release from the House said the ‘Authority responsible for the building is not aware of who planned and executed the June 27 petition program of Mr. Darius Dillon, Who is not a staff of the Legislature. ”

The release further stated that in keeping with the seriousness attached to this investigation, the House Committee on ‘Rules and Order’, has been mandated to conduct a full-scale investigation to identify those associated with abuse of The Rotunda.

The release concludes: “Any person (s) found within the employ of Legislature and is associated with that ‘Rogue Petition ‘will be dealt with administratively.”
