I-Help Liberia Project 2019 Honoree Dr. Jonathan Hart In U.S. Meet Several American Scholars

This year, 2019 I-Help Liberia Project honoree, Dr. Jonathan Minagogo Hart who is currently in the United States to receive his award today, April 30, 2019 met with Dr. Benjamin Rapoport, and is also due to meet Dr. Adam Cohen on Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

According to a dispatch, these two young American scientists will be introducing Dr. Hart for the I-HELP Liberia Project Humanitarian Award, before that, this is what Andy Chen, Deputy Officer-in-Charge of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps Team #4, wrote about Dr. Hart:

“He graduated literally just a few months before the Ebola outbreak…and when he and his classmates showed up for their first day of work at their assigned ETU, they all walked away from the job – except Dr. H, who walked in, donned PPE, and began caring for Ebola patients. He is truly one of the many unsung heroes of this country and, indeed, the world. It was extremely moving and humbling to hear from Dr. H that he considered us (all the USPHS officers who staffed the MMU) as heroes for coming to help, when none of us had to bear the brunt of the devastation that he and his countrymen and women did.”

“We hope to see you at the Honoring Program on Sunday, May 5th at 3:00 at Hunter College High School for our Dr. Jonathan Hart. The I-HELP Liberia Project is very proud of this brave doctor and honor that he is associated with the I-HELP Liberia Project.
