LIBERIA: Vice President Howard-Taylor To Be Honored

The Darkpanah of the Republic of Liberia Moses Suakollie said honoring Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor is a total sign of reconciliation for the people of Bong County

In an interview with the GNN on Tuesday, 22 January in Gbarnga, the Darkpanah of the republic of Liberia Chief Moses Suakollie said the need to honor VP Taylor is important maintaining that she has contributed immensely to the nation growth and development.

He said Traditional people will be heavily engage with the honoring of the Liberian Vice President stating that the VP will be traditional decorated by chiefs from across the fifteen counties of Liberia. Chief Suakollie further said looking at the valuable contributions to the human resource and infrastructure developments of the Country, VP Howard-Taylor needs to be recognized if the county should continue benefiting from  her many initiative.

According to Chief Suakollie, the program is also meant for Chiefs to sit with the Liberia vice President to discuss issues of national interest. The Liberia Darkpanah is at the same time calling on leaders of the county to be in attendance at the honoring ceremony slated January 24, 2019 at the Gbarnga administration building.

At the same time some resident of the county including the lawmakers will on the same day honor the Liberia’s first female vice president Dr. Jewel Howard Taylor for the level of leadership demonstrated over the past to ensure the forward movement of the county and Liberia at large.

Current and former Lawmakers of the county are expected to grace the honoring ceremony according to the office of the Bong county District#3 Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) lone Representative Josiah Melvin Cole.

The of the CDC Lawmaker through its political affair officer, Eldorado Kermue the honoring is also intended to recognize the level of work VP Taylor has continue to do across the country.

Mr. Kermue said Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor has a lot of developments for the people of Liberia pointing at the provision of scholarship and tuition aid for less fortune students, the erection of health centers in the county, microfinance loan for market women amongst others as several things the Liberia vice has done.

The honoring ceremony is expected to be held today  Thursday January 24, 2019 at the Gbarnga administration building.
