Tunis, 05 December 2018: The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights will deliver four Judgments on Friday (7 December 2018) at the close of their four-week sitting of the 51st Ordinary Session in Tunis, Republic of Tunisia.
The Session is held outside the seat of the Court in Arusha, Tanzania, at the invitation of the Government of Tunisia.
The Judgments are in the following matters:
- Application 003/2014 – Ingabire Victoire Umuhoza v. Republic of Rwanda (Reparation)
Application 001/2015 – Armand Guehi v. United Republic of Tanzania
Application 024/2015 – Werema Wangoko v. United Republic of Tanzania
Application 006/2016 – Mgosi Mwita v. United Republic of Tanzania
The delivery of the Judgments will be live streamed from 10:00 (Tunisian Time) via link:
NOTES FOR EDITORS:
- The Court is composed of eleven Judges, nationals of Member States of the African Union elected in their individual capacity.
- The Court meets four times a year in Ordinary Sessions and may hold Extra-Ordinary Sessions.
- As at 30 November 2018, the Court had received 190 applications and has finalised 48.
