9 people killed, 29 others injured in Mizoram road mishap

Aizawl, June 5 : At least 9 people were killed and 29 others injured when a passenger bus fell into a deep gorge in Mizoram’s Lunglei district early this morning.

According to the reports, the incident was happened near Pangzawl village in Lunglei district.

The passenger private bus was going from Aizawl towards Siaha town in South Mizoram’s Siaha district.

The bus had rolled down and fell into a 500 meters deep gorge below the National Highway-54.

Local villagers and police had recovered all the bodies from the area and injured persons have been rushed to Pangzawl hospital.

Five of the injured persons have stated to be critical condition and they have been rushed to Aizawl for better treatment.
