GN Bank Opens Randall Street Branch, CEO Lauds Liberian Staff, As MD Boasts Of Progress

The Chief Executive and Chairman of GN Bank Liberia Limited, a member of the over 50 subsidiaries that constitute the Groupe Nduom conglomerate, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom has praised the management of the bank in Liberia for their professional services since its establishment in Liberia.

Speaking during the officials opening of the Randall Street Branch of the bank in Monrovia today, August 25, 2017, Dr. Nduom expressed excitement for the progress being made by his bank in Liberia, also praised the Government of Liberia for the sustenance of peace over the years which he noted, has given rise to the successful establishment of his bank.

He also urged Liberians to peacefully go to the poll for the successful election of their leaders come October 10, 2017, this he said will make the world to recognize its commitment in preserving democracy.

For his part, the Managing Director of GN Bank Liberia, Mr. Joseph K. Anim in his welcome address, said the inauguration of the Randall Street Branch today has indicated yet another important achievement of Groupe Nduom in Liberia.

He said since the inception on the bank in Liberia on 6th June 2016, the strategy of the Board of Directors and Executive Management of the Bank, has been to reorganize the Bank in two phases:  – To stabilize the bank and provide a good base for an exponential growth in the Liberian economy, and to prioritize Technology and to change the face of banking in Liberia through technological innovations.

Mr. Anim also announced that one year down the line: GN Bank Liberia Limited, has completed the Phase one of our strategy, he also boasted that the bank has grown from a US$16.3 Million balance sheet size, to US$39.2 million balance sheet size Bank in one year.

He also noted how the bank has restored Customer Confidence in the Bank and currently, running an almost 55,000 active accounts, and at the same time it has strengthened the Human Capital Base of the Bank by recruiting some of the best Liberians on the market.

Mr. Anim further informed the gathering that the bank has invested an additional 2.6 million dollars in the acquisition of Generators, Motor Vehicles, Office Equipment and Leasehold improvements, stressing, “.

Honoring our promise to be accessible to all, we have revived two more Moneygram and Western Union locations – The ELWA and Duport Road Locations. We have also added the Kakata Branch and the Randall Street Branch, which we are commissioning today. This he said brings our branch network to Ten (10) branches and four (4) Cash Outlets.”

The Phase two (2) of our strategy has just started and we would be driving our service delivery through technology. We plan to: Enforce the strategy of the Central Bank towards a cashless economy by introducing our Master cards; ATMs for deposits and withdrawals, Introduce Point of Sales devices, Include mobile banking facilities into our services
