TRENTON — After an early morning tweet storm blasting media outlet and a U.S. senator, President Donald Trump spent portions the rest of his day in New Jersey Monday talking to top administration officials about North Korea.
It’s the third day of his 17-day working vacation from his Bedminster golf club.
Trump had an hour-long call with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Chief of Staff John Kelly to discuss North Korea and Tillerson’s trip to the Philippines for a regional Asia gathering, White House spokeswoman Lindsay Walters said, according to pool reports.
A series of senior policy advisers and cabinet secretaries will come up in the days to discuss health care, tax reform and other issues, Walters said. Vice President Pence is also join Trump for a day during the trip.
