NYPD Seeks Man They Say Stole 12 Laptops from Manhattan Hospital Construction Site

By NY1 News

Police are looking for a man they say stole thousands of dollars’ worth of laptops from a Manhattan hospital construction site.

It happened Wednesday night at the future David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care on 74th Street on the Upper East Side.

Investigators say the man got in through a gap in the fence and took 12 laptops worth more than $15,000.

He’s wearing a construction helmet in surveillance images, but police aren’t sure if he’s a worker at the site or if he was just posing as one.

The facility isn’t set to open until 2019.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
