Liberian Artist Visits School For Lesson In African Culture

Students in the first grade at West Hartford’s Bugbee Elementary School recently spent a week learning from Won-Ldy Paye, a Hartford artist, children’s author, and storyteller who is originally from Liberia.

Paye’s artist residency was made possible through a grant from the Foundation for West Hartford Public Schools and was the lead in to the student’s African studies.
