North Korea running hidden hostel in Berlin ‘to fund Kim Jong-un’s nuclear arsenal’

Kim Jong-un’s nuclear ambitions are being funded by a hostel in Berlin

The tourist hostel and a convention centre operate from the embassy building in the middle of the German capital and officials have become concerned the enterprise is being increasingly used as a source of foreign exchange.

Federal government sources told the Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper the authorities wanted to “significantly restrict North Korean business in Berlin because the permanent nuclear threats that are of great concern to us”.

According to the reports, the German Foreign Ministry is holding high-level talks with chancellor Angela Merkel and officials from the Ministry of Justice and Economics.
