GUMS Capture High School Quizzing Competition, Receives LD10, 000. Prize Award

Students of the Ganta United Methodist School (GUMS) were the happiest winners of the Nimba County Community College (NCCC) organized high schools quizzing competition when she won over 16 high schools in Nimba County following an intensive and impressive quizzing competition in various academic subjects.

The aims and objective of the competition, according to the organizer, is to sharpen the academic skills of both the junior and high school students in the County who are desperately in need of quality education.

The occasion which was held in the auditorium of the NCCC was graced by several Liberian education stakeholders, school administrator, participating schools, administration and students of the Nimba County Community College (NCCC), and parents of students whose schools participated in the competition.

The winning School, Ganta United Methodist School (GUMS) was awarded a trophy and a cash prize of Ten Thousand Liberian Dollars (LD10,000.00), while the 2nd and 3rd winning teams received Five and Two Thousand Liberian Dollars and a certificate.

At the end of the competitive quizzing program, the winning team, GUMS joyously held sky-high their trophy as administrator and teaching staff of the winning school marched through the campus of the college celebrating their victory.
