NIC Chair Says Liberia ‘Highly Preferred’ Investment Destination

The Chairperson of the National Investment Commission (NIC), Etmonia D. Tarpeh

The Chairperson of the National Investment Commission (NIC), Etmonia D. Tarpeh, has said Liberia is highly preferred by investors seeking investment destinations in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Madam Tarpeh stated that Liberia has untapped investment potentials and opportunities and that a website has been designed to showcase Liberia’s investment possibilities.

The NIC boss made the statement Wednesday at the launch of the NIC’s revamped website to enhance ease of navigation and user friendliness in Monrovia.

She noted that “Invest Liberia”, the official investors’ guide for Liberia, has been printed, noting that this was made possible through “collective efforts.”

She explained that the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) sponsored the compilation and printing of this guide, the sector profiles and newly constructed NIC website.

According to Madam Tarpeh, the Liberia Agriculture Transformation Agenda (LATA) represents an important component of the Government of Liberia’s Economic Diversification Program and that the Commission is pleased to contribute to this worthwhile endeavor.
