A lawmaker of the ruling Unity Party (UP), Representative Worlea Saywah Dunah is demanding the immediate resignation of the Managing Director of the Forestry Development Authority (FDA).

The FDA boss recently resigned from the governing Unity Party (UP) to join the opposition Liberty Party (LP), a decision which took many by surprise, describing it as a blow to the candidacy of Vice President Joseph N. Boakai who is seeking the presidency come October 10, 2017 general and presidential elections.

Speaking to a local daily, The Catalyst, Rep. Dunah said his request for Karnwea to quit his position as Managing Director of the FDA, which he said is being misunderstood by Karnwea’ssupporters is intended to safe him and President Sirleaf from embarrassment.

Noting further, Rep Dunah said critical decisions are ahead and Karnwea stay in the cabinet could be viewed as differently.
