Leymah Gbowee Queues For Boakai’s Running Mate?

As standard bearers of dozens of political parties queue out for the 2017 general and presidential elections, many of them are seeking for running mates on whose reputation they will solidly build themselves.

Sources closed to the ruling Unity Party (UP) revealed over the weekend that negotiations are taken place behind close door aimed are encouraging Madam Leymah Gbowee, one of Liberia’s Nobel Prize Winners to accept their proposal of becoming the running mate to Vice President Joseph N. Boakai come October 2017 in his presidential bid.

Effort by this news outlet to confirm from Madam Gbowee regarding this report has proven unsuccessful.

Speculations of her becoming the possible running to the Standard Bearer of the Unity Party is been heard at most entertainment centers in Monrovia and its environs, with some noting that she is the right person if the information is truth.

Few years ago, the Nobel Prize Winner told local and international media of not have interest in becoming any political leader, and noted that her interest nowadays is to sever her people humanitarian areas.
