GNN-Liberia Editorial: We Congratulate Ghana New President

ghWe are overwhelmed to publicly congratulate Ghanaian new President, Nana Akufo-Addo who was sworn in yesterday, Saturday (January 7, 2017 with the presence of dozens of African leaders including our own Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

We are excited for the level of maturity carried by the people of Ghana, and hope that Liberians who are opting for the 2017 general and presidential elections take cue of their West African brothers.

We want to join the Liberian leader, President, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to praise former President John Dramani Mahama for his contribution towards a peaceful electoral process in Ghana.

According to her, the former President ensured a free, fair and transparent electoral process in the recent general elections.

Giving the people the freedom and the space to choose their own fate is the greatest act of leadership, yes indeed the editorial staff of this online out is proud of Ghana today.

We will also like to urge the defiant President of the Gambia, Yahya Jammeh to follow the step of the Ghanaians outgoing president and relinquish power and allow the people of that West African nation to celebrate.

Again we want to say congratulation to the new Ghanaian President; we pray that his leadership will lead his people to nobility.

Congratulations President Nana Akufo-Addo!
