3,000 Syrian rebels put down weapons – Tass

Second wave of Syrians evacuated from Darayya arrives to Damascus(ANSAmed) – MOSCOW, DECEMBER 7 – Roughly 3,000 rebels have put down their weapons in Khan al-Sheikh, near Damascus, and been allowed to leave the city for the Idlib province with their families by bus, the Russian official press agency Tass reported Wednesday. “After long and difficult negotiations a ceasefire agreement was reached with the rebels,” Russian colonel Alexiei Leshchenko is quoted as saying.

The rebels reportedly laid down 500 firearms, sniper rifles and dozens of mortars. (ANSAmed)
