The management of the Phebe Hospital & School of Nursing has received a 350 KVA generator purchased from Caterpillar Company.
The generator was partly paid for as a humanitarian donation by the Liberian Bank for Development and Investment (LBDI).
LBDI paid the sum of US$ 45,000(Forty five thousand United States dollars) cash and Phebe Hospital also paid the sum of US$ 20,000 (Twenty thousand United States dollars) and balance of US$ 10,000 (Ten Thousand United States Dollars) will be paid by Phebe Hospital on arrangement with the Caterpillar Company.
The total cost of the 350 KVA generator is US$ 75,000(Seventy Five Thousand United States).
According to the management of LBDI, the Phebe Hospital on numerious occasion complained of electricity and thought to enter into a joint agreement purchasing a generator for the health facility.
Phebe Hospital is the biggest Government health center in Bong County which caters to more than 150 patients on a daily basic.
Meanwhile, the management of Phebe Hospital has extended thanks and appreciation to the Board of Directors and the Management of Liberian Bank for Development and Investment (LBDI) for the timely humanitarian gesture of a 350 KVA generator to Phebe Hospital that is to be used for providing quality health care services for the underprivileged rural inhabitants of Liberia.
