Police Inspector killed, as gunmen invade police station

police-killedGunmen, numbering 40, on Friday night invaded Ido Ekiti Divisional Police Station in Ido/Osi local Government area of Ekiti State and killed a police inspector on duty.‎

The armoury of the police station was emptied,‎ while the roof top was blown off with the aid of a dynamite. The entire police station was destroyed during the raid.

A detective attached to the station, who craved anonymity, revealed that the suspected robbers invaded the police station around 7.20pm and destroyed virtually everywhere.‎
