GBR-Liberia Launch With The Objective To Empower Christians, Induct Officials

The Global Business Roundtable (GBR) organization which was established eight years ago on August 21, 2009 in Sandton, South Africa started as a discussion forum as well as a support, networking and prayer group for people in business and various intellectual professions was on Saturday, October 15, 2016 launched in Liberia with the induction of its Liberia Chapter officials.

Those inducted as officials of the organization were Mr. MacDonald Wento as Chairman,  T. Nelson William as Deputy Ambassador, Mr. Melee Kermue as Chairman on Trade and Investment and Mr. Nathaniel T. Blama, Sr. as head of Secretariat.

Inducting the Liberia Chapter officials, Mr. Christian Nnoli, official of GBR-Nigeria earlier lectured on the fundamental aims and objectives of the organization which he said has over 3,000 membership from over 19 countries including USA, Spain, Swaziland and stressed that it is a God-centered and inspired global business networking initiative which was prompted by a deep desire to start a prayer meeting for people in business as well as to support for working professionals in their various fields.

Noting further on the reason why this organization was establish , Mr. Nnoli said one of  the challenges facing modern business and private sectors globally is the fact that the current financial and economic systems and organizations, unless inspired by God and led by the Holy Spirit will not prevail in solving the deepening economic problems of the world.

Stressing further, the Nigerian GBR official said “We believe God will use organisations like the GBR- Global Business Roundtable to ensure that His people take over and control the economies of the world.”

He said the GBR with its mandate to develop its  members holistically will  also focus  in these following areas of growth and development and spiritual development; putting God first in all its members worldwide do and never forgetting to love God with their entire being in these respective concentration such as :  Intellectual Development ,  Business Opportunities ,  Professional Development ,  Emotional Intelligence,  Interpersonal Skills Development, Mentorship (Transfer of Skills and Knowledge, Business Coaching),  Financial Intelligence (Wealth Creation and Estate Planning) , and with  Relationship Development.

Another subsidiary of the GBR he said is the Global Fund For Christ which noted was born out of the mandate given directly to the chairman in a vision whilst in Jerusalem, Israel when he was on tour of the Holy Land

On 15 November 2007, in the early hours of the morning and in a vision, he saw a cloud of light and from it came a voice which said, “Arise, setup a Global Fund for Jesus.” “Global Fund for Jesus” was repeated three times.

He said on the 18th of November 2010, the Global Fund for Jesus was officially launched at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa at the 1st Annual Global Fund for Christ Gala Dinner attended by 1000 people.

He lauded the effort of Mr. Wento who he said was very instrumental in the establishment of GBR in Liberia, and also called on other members to work hard in the promotion and activities of GBR in Liberia.

 For his part, the Chairman of GBR-Liberia Mr. MacDonald Wento vowed to keep the dream and aspiration of the organization alive, and also spoke of his leadership plans to wining more membership who will be prepare to holistically making the dream and aspiration a reality.

Mr. Wento also noted that every aspect of the organization including its trade and investment, and the Global Fund for Jesus will be one of those activities that will be focused.

The gathering at the launching was impressive as everyone who attended the meeting expressed interest in becoming part of this global initiative.
