Civil Law Court Hunts For Another Newspaper Publisher For Libel And Slander

Following the arrest and detention of the Publisher of Hot Pepper, Philipbert Brown by the Civil Law Court Friday for libel and slander, report gathered by GNN-Liberia has revealed that another Publisher of a local weekly is being pursuit by court officers on similar charges.

The Publisher of the People’s newspaper, Alfred Togba who is also head of the Movement For The Defense Of The Downtroden, whose newspaper first featured the report, that Representative Prince Moye of Bong County district # 2 did rape a 14 years old girl in his community has since been at large following the arrest of Mr. Brown.

 According to our source, the Hot Pepper newspaper publisher is expected to appear in court to answer to the charges leveled against on Monday by the lawmaker which led to his arrest and subsequent detention by the Civil Law Court at the Monrovia Central Prison.
