bank_robber_yellow_vest_webThis man in the yellow reflective safety vest is being sought in three robberies or attempted robberies of banks in Philadelphia. He hit the banks on Oct. 5 and 6, 2016, authorities said.

Authorities believe that the same man has been responsible for robbing or trying to rob three banks in Philadelphia over the past two days.

The man was caught in bank surveillance footage wearing what appears to be a similiar outfit: a yellow reflective safety vest over a long-sleeved red shirt or sweatshirt, blue latex gloves, a dark-colored knit cap and white sneakers. On one day, his shirt appeared to say Rutgers on it.

On Wednesday afternoon, he allegedly tried to rob a PNC Bank in West Philadelphia, then successfully robbed a TD Bank in University City, on the University of Pennsylvania’s campus, authorities said. Then, on Thursday, the same man is believed to have robbed a PNC Bank in Olney.

At 12:56 p.m. Wednesday, the man went into the PNC Bank at 19 S. 52nd St. in West Philadelphia and tried to rob it, but got away empty-handed, authorities said.
