ALP Nimba County Chairman Orders Flogging Of Health Workers

alpThe local Chairman of the All Liberian Party (ALP) of businessman Benoni Urery, Bob Yeaneh has reportedly ordered the flogging of some health workers and security at the Ganta United Methodist Hospital in Ganta, Nimba County.

According to a Correspondent of the state owned ELBC Radio, Mr. Yeaneh drove in the hospital yard at midnight Monday under the pretext that he had some health emergency that needed serious attention, a situation the reporter said made the security assigned at the hospital to give free entry to the ALP local Chairman and entourage who drove in a marked ALP white pickup.

Upon entrance on the grounds of the hospital, the report said Mr. Yeaneh ordered his men to flog the security on duty and some health worker that night without any reason of his action making those who were serious flogged to sustained serious bodily harm.

The Administrator of the Hospital, Patrick Martor who spoke to reporter confirmed the action of the ALF Nimba County official and has also threatened to issue a legal action against Mr. Yeaneh.

According to the Correspondent, as a result of this latest brutality against innocent individuals in the County by ALP officials, they are questioning the leadership ability of the Party which is craving for presidential powers come 2017.
