Three Liberians Arrested In Philippine For Defrauding Indian Businessman Of $10,000.00

manilaThree Liberian have been arrested in Philippine for their alleged involvement in estafa by an Indian; Estafa is a criminal offense wherein a person defrauds another, they were presented to the media on Wednesday by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) after their arrest in a Makati City(Metro Manila) hotel.

According to the Manila Times online newspaper, the suspects were identified as John Polonius, alias Steve Wilmot Brown; G. Roland Clinton, alias Steveb Fraser; and Shun Copper.

NBI National Capital Region Director Ric Diaz said they were verifying the identities of the suspects with the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation. Vijay Gurung of India reported that he was victimized P140,000 in exchange for stained US dollar bills. The suspects promised to invest in Gurung’s restaurant business and demanded $10,000 and P1-million cash.
