Cleveland: Donald Trump has announced that he had selected Indiana Governor Mike Pence as his running mate and will appear with him on Saturday in New York.

“I am pleased to announce that I have chosen Governor Mike Pence as my Vice Presidential running mate,” Trump wrote on Twitter Friday morning. “News conference tomorrow at 11.00 am.”

Trump’s statement followed Trump’s stunning decision late on Thursday to scrap plans to hold a joint event on Friday with his vice-presidential candidate because of the terrorist attack in southern France, and a lack of clarity about whether a formal offer had been made to Pence. WATCH BELOW VIDEO
