Senator George Weah to launch Maiden Suhum Municipal Football League In Ghana

53922327Former Liberia international soccer hero, and now member of the Liberian Senate, George Oppong Weah will be among dignitaries to launch the maiden edition of the Suhum Municipal League.

According to a Ghanaian online newspaper, the launch of the games which is scheduled for the 5th of March will have President of the Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi, Oti Akenteng who is the technical director of the Ghana Football Association, Maxwell Konadu who is the deputy Black Stars coach and former AC Milan forward George Oppong Weah all giving their word to be present for the occasion.

The league which is meant for the people of the Suhum Municipality will contain 32 teams grouped into four.

The top teams from the four groups will play each other and winner decided.

Also expected at the launch on Saturday will be the chief of Suhum and Hon. Opare Ansah who is the brain behind the event.
