Vandalark Patricks Appears In Court Today For ‘Criminal Libel And Sedition ’

templeMr. Vandalark Patricks, a member of the opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) who was arrested on Sunday of this week by the Liberian National Police is to appear in court today on charges of Treason and Libel.

Mr. Patricks arrest followed after he called a news conference accusing the Liberian Government of hunting opposition leaders and the murder of the former LPRC Managing Director, Harry Greaves.

But an executive member of the CDC, Mr. Mulbah Morlue is calling on the Liberian Government to release Mr. Patricks from further detention and hold he, Morlue responsible for the statement made by Mr. Patricks accusing the government of witch hunting opposition leader an d the brutal murder of Mr. Greaves.

Speaking on a local radio station in Monrovia, Mr. Morlue reechoed the statement made by Mr. Patricks on Sunday, noting, “It is the real facts that this government should be held responsible for the brutal murder of Harry Greaves, and a planned action to eliminate all critical opposition political leaders. I am prepared to be arrested. Let them release Mr. Patricks,” Mr. Molue boastfully noted.
