LIBERIA: East International Wins Bid To Pave Gbarnga Streets

(LINA) – East International, a Chinese construction firm, has been awarded the contract to pave the streets of Gbarnga.

Acting Bong County Superintendent Anthony Sheriff told the Liberia News Agency Sunday that the company was selected following a competitive bidding process.

Sheriff said the agreement for the project has been approved by the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission and is before the Ministries of Justice and Finance for endorsement.

He hoped the project will commence immediately following the necessary procedures by the requisite agencies of government.

Delegates, from across the county, allotted US$1.5 million during the April 2015 Development Council Sitting to pave the 10.6 kilometers of streets in Gbarnga.

Funding for the project will come from the County Development Fund.
