A 28-year old Liberian who migrated to Australia from his home country on a humanitarian visa was stabbed to death in the chest by a girl believed to be in her teens yesterday, Tuesday.
According to an Australian online News Nine newspaper, the girl in question not named has been charged with murder by police in Adelaide.
According to the report, Police were called to the scene at a Mansfield Park unit about 5.30pm yesterday.
About 50 members of the local Liberian community gathered on the street to mourn the man’s death.
A friend of the diseased told reporters that the man, who worked in a local factory, was a member of the community.
“It’s so sad; I’m feeling so bad that someone could do such a thing. He was a very good person,” Porte Zeogar said.
The alleged murderer is expected appear in Port Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
