Liberia’s Ambassador To UK, Rudolph vonBallmoos Is Dead

Liberian Ambassador who previously served in Ghana as Liberian Ambassador, Mr. Rudolph P. Von Ballmoos is dead.

He died on Thursday, December 17, 2-015 in the United Kingdom after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Von Balmoos was commissioned in September 2013 as envoy to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Mr. Von Ballmoos is the brother of Mr. Dewitt Von Ballmoos, Director General of the National Social Security & Welfare Corporation (NAASCORP). His mother, Agnes Nebo Von Ballmoos was the first Liberian ethnomusicologist. She led the University of Liberia Chorus for many years, traveling with the chorus to Zaire, Sierra Leone, the USA and other countries. From 1961 to 1990, von Ballmoos taught students everything from Italian madrigals to gospel to traditional songs sung in the villages of Liberia, which she was the first to set to music.
