Liberian Police Authority Dismisses 15 AWOL Officers

The Liberia National Police (LNP) has fired 15 of its officers for constantly being absent from job without official leave (AWOL).

Disclosing this Wednesday in an interview win the Liberia News Agency, Deputy Police spokesman Lewis Norman said AWOL is a violation of the section of the New Police Duty Manual captioned “Prohibited Conduct”.

He warned that the LNP will not tolerate any of its officers being absent from job without official leave, noting that such officers run the risk of being dismissed.

Norman named those dismissed as George E.Tamba, Tweh Mex Williams, Mosses Flomo, Anthony G. Morris, Lucia L.Vakone, Fitzgerald Smith, Dweh F.Konoew, and Whyee Myers.

Others include Will A. Duo, Mohammed A.Kaba, Rene Juwle, Ruben S.Duo, John E.Marvey and Sam D. Howard.

According to Norman, the dismissed officers have been mandated to turn over all government properties in their possession with immediate effect because they are no longer in the employ of the LNP.
