The management of the Global News Network, publisher of the GNN-Liberia online news outlet has clarified that its weekly opinion poll being featured on the site is not to discourage would be voters for the 2017 general and presidential elections as to who to vote for.
In a press release issued today by the Chief Executive Officer and Publisher of the institution, Mr. Joel Cholo Brooks further indicated that said weekly opinion poll is also not intended to frighten any presidential candidate or candidates about their likeness with voters, but rather to highlight how the Liberian political field is being felt amongst Liberians.
Mr. Brooks said statistics contained in each polling and posted on his widely browse website is being done by a team of the entity’s pollsters around the Country who are on a regular basis text via mobile phones or via emails about the chances of each of the candidates queuing for the nation’s highest seat, the presidency come 2017.
He further disclosed that such opinion poll being featured on his website is not an official polling results, but rather intended to keep the Liberian people abreast of what is obtaining nationwide from various frontlines of would be political candidates who want to take state power.
Concluding in the release, Mr. Brooks said such opinion poll will continue every week until the schedule 2017 elections is held.
