The National Elections Commission (NEC) today certificated the New Liberia Party (NLP) to operate in Liberia as a full fledge political party at the headquarters of the Commission.
Also certificated by the NEC today was the Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE), these two political parties registered today are the newest bringing the number of political party to 20 that met the requirements of the National Elections Commission (NEC) to operate during the upcoming 2017 general and presidential elections.
During the presentation, the National Chairman of the NEC, Cllr. Jerome George Korkoya called on all political parties, especially those that met the requirements of NEC to operate in accordance of the guidelines issued by the Commission.
Making remarks at the program, the organizing Chairman of the New Liberia Party (NLP), Mr. Sam Mohammed Kromah expressed thanks and appreciation to the Chairman and the Board of Commissioners of NEC for the certification.
He assured Liberians that his party, the NLP will bring about change during its operation as a political party in Liberia, and called for unity amongst Liberians.
