LIBERIA: ‘Houseboy’ Steals US$500.000 From His Boss Escape To Sierra Leone

Report in the Liberian media has said the Managing Director of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC), Sumo Kupee has been victimized by his house attendant who report said has allegedly made away with a briefcase containing US$500,000.00.

The report further said some LPRC security guards assigned at the residence of Mr. Kupee following the incident were arrested and placed behind the LPRC security guard holding cell for further interrogation.

The report which has not been officially confirmed by the alleged victim (Mr. Sumo Kupee) has spread throughout Monrovia, with a local radio station airing same on one of its morning shows.

Effort by this outlet to contact Mr. Kupee proved unsuccessful as his mobile lines rang endlessly without response.

The question being asked by many who got this news about the missing of US$500,000 at the residence of Mr. Kupee were baffled of such, wondering as to why such huge amount be kept in a private home instead of a bank.
